Coruñeses (2020-2023)

Coruñeses is a project carried out between 2020 and 2023. It began at the end of the COVID lockdown when, after almost a year without the possibility of visiting my native land, I decided to spend countless hours in the city of A Coruña photographing its streets. Starting as an attempt to make up for lost time, it gradually developed into a comprehensive photography project, questioning my own identity through the lives of those next to whom I could have grown up.

Over the course of three years, I returned several times annually, tirelessly capturing images of people, buildings, and scenes of daily life. Coruñeses accompanied me throughout the evolution of my photographic practice, adapting each year to my new inspirations and aspirations. The project was never considered complete but instead transformed into two new endeavors: Adios Sahara, realized between 2021 and 2023, and Like Sand Slipping Through My Fingers, which is a work in progress.
